Paul Gilbert, John Petrucci —Guitar One Magazine Cover

[---Some links open in new window---]

We got the scoop on this photo spread and cover from a good inside connection at one of our favorite magazines. He said (his name is withheld because we need scoops, and want to protect his identity), “We did a shoot with Paul Gilbert. I just saw the hot-off-the-press issue and if this is your red coiled cable, you guys are going to be really happy!”

He sent us this image:

Paul Gilbert – Guitar One, December 2006

Being a huge fan of top guitar players of all time, we couldn’t believe that Paul Gilbert was so boldly showcasing our cable. We didn’t even know that he used it.

Was this a statement that cables could actually be cool? Not just wires that carried sound, as indicated in all of those “rock star and their rigs” articles that always showed cords as just a schematic of lines running between the “real” showpiece items?

Can you imaging this photo with just a black straight cable?

And then we wrote to Mr. Gilbert, who endorses DiMarzio cables and we asked, “Paul, are you using our cable these days, or did Neil Zlozower, (the legendary rock photographer), just prop out the photo so that Guitar One could use those cool red scribbles as graphics for the full spread?”

Paul answered us back and said he does use the cables and he bought his at a music store. He said that he endorses DiMarzio, but that he will keep buying Bullet Cable because they sound really great.

How cool for us? …

So then we got our copy of Guitar One in the mail, and the excitement grew.

Paul Gilbert and John Petrucci

Here we have a cover with John Petrucci and Paul Gilbert, two of the top guitar players in the world, being connected by our very favorite red coil Bullet Cable!

Talking about the red cable, a few months ago we purchased a couple thousand more than what we usually sell because it seems like everyone who is at the top of their game or in-the-know is using them now. We have also been reviewed by Bass Player and Guitar World, and AP Magazine, and everyone keeps showing the red coil cables. Ask your dealer if s/he carries Bullet Cable. If s/he doesn’t, ask, “What’s up with that?”

Follow Up: Here is a cool you tube showing Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert and Joe Petrucci jamming for the crowd in Montreal. The coil cable loves “Purple Haze”.

I am pretty sure that Joe Satriani is using the clear Bullet Coil Cable in Madison Square Garden:
