Personal relationships with professional and amateur musicians have allowed Core One to observe how music equipment and accessories are used by the people who play. This advantage has kept them ahead of the curve in developing and promoting innovative award-winning gear such as stylish Bullet Cables and Trench straps, indestructible Këpur straps, Core Equipment diamond plate cases, ergonomically-designed Wirething picks, and premium-grade Core X2 cables.

The genres of musicians are as varied as the products sold. Top artists who currently use Core One products include Prince, John Taylor, Troy Van Leeuwen (Queens of the Stone Age), Lou Reed, Lionel Richie, Donavon Frankenreiter, and Toby Keith. In 2007, top guitar maestro, Paul Gilbert, made the Bullet Coil Cable his singular guitar cable choice. In 2008, the Coil Bullet Cable was made an icon, by appearing as a central prop on the CD Cover, “Heart On” by Eagles of Death Metal, and later that year was named a favorite must-have by Surfer Magazine’s guest Editor, Donovan Frankenreiter.

Company Officers

Ted McCann, Executive Designer

Ted J. McCann is the fly-below-the-radar guy in our industry. Having started his career at ESP Guitars, where he rose to the position of Operations Manager, McCann launched his first business venture as the President of Coffin Case in 1999. Three years later, McCann left Coffin Case to found Core One Creative and has since gone on to design more than 200 products for the company’s six successful brands as well as for industry giants including Fender, BC Rich, Jackson, Peavey, and Juicy Couture.

It has been McCann’s solitary focus to music accessories as functional design accessories that has been the motivation of the company’s predominant purpose since 2002: To contribute to and be a part of the musical experience.

Kimmy McCann, Executive Director

Kimmy McCann’s extensive background in design and marketing is the backbone of image development and promotional efforts at Core One. A second generation entrepreneur, McCann has served in leading roles at businesses and organizations dedicated to advancing art and design for more than two decades. Her joint vision of Core One Creative, Inc. as a multi-branded company dedicated to the image of lifestyle and creative vision created by musicians and motivated by her partner’s designs, solidified her involvement with the company and she joined Core One in 2003 to help manage the vision that the two shared.

Company Highlights

Core One has contributed to the Music Instruments (MI) Industry through a series of innovations in design that have been followed by others in the industry.
