Tame Impala is on tour and equipped with Bullet Cable Coils. Hailing from Australia, they just played Coachella as well as a coast to coast US tour that ends tonight in DC where they will play in a sold out show at the Black Cat.

Their music can be described as psychedelic induced, but they are hardly out of control like a bad trip sometimes experienced with the uninitiated. Maybe the ‘Tame’ in the name describes their earthy, raw sound where the melody is on, while the guitar tones are fuzzy and dirty adding an edge to the hypnotic vocals and therefore elevating the music from mere garage rock genre to groove rock that emphasizes a dream-like melody.

Powderfinger Sunsets Tour Announcement: "With the completion of our last album, "Golden Rule," we feel that we have said all that we want to say as a musical group," the band said in a statement on its website.

Powderfinger have been gracing our stages since the early 90’s providing a soundtrack to Australia for the last 20 years with hit songs from albums such as Internationalist, Odyssey Number Five, and Dream Days at the Hotel Existence. With their recent announcement of the Sunsets Tour, and admission that this will be their last album and subsequently last tour, we are proud to be a part of their performance, and sad that the journey will be ending so soon.

Guitarist, Ian Haug of Powderfinger shows off his Bullet Coil Cable in
‘All Of the Dreamers,’ the first single from Powderfinger’s new & final album “Golden Rule”

“With the completion of our last album, “Golden Rule,” we feel that we have said all that we want to say as a musical group,” the band said in a statement on its website.

Powderfinger have sold more than 2.5 million albums in Australia, seen seven studio albums go to the top of the ARIA Album chart, won 16 ARIA Awards – including an unprecedented back-to-back three awards for Album of the Year – in a career as a band lasting nearly two decades.

In their time as a band, Powderfinger have also been active in supporting philanthropic causes. The aim of their recent Across the Great Divide tour (with Silverchair) was to promote the efforts of Reconciliation Australia, and to promote awareness of the gap in life expectancy between Indigenous and non-Indigenous children.

Powderfinger said it was partnering with the Yalari group for its “Sunsets” tour, which supports education for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from rural and remote areas.

Our Bullet Cable/ Core X2 distributor, Dominant Music, sent us a link of the “Official Big Day Out” concert series recently held throughout the country.

Children Collide used our coil cables on stage during the concert held in Perth. Their dynamic performance, for which they have built a reputation, is obvious in the images we viewed. Not only are Children Collide awesome for using Bullet Cable, but they showed how amazing the curly cords look onstage when they are being used by musicians who rock.
